Customer Requirement
A smart pet tracking device manufacturer needed a compact rechargeable battery for a lightweight GPS pet tracker. Since the tracker needed to be comfortable for pets to wear, the battery had to occupy minimal space and add as little weight as possible. At the same time, it needed to provide sufficient energy for GPS positioning, wireless communication, and extended daily operation.
Our Solution
We developed a customized lithium polymer battery based on the tracker's available internal space and power requirements. The battery size, capacity, connector, cable length, and protection circuit were customized to support easy integration into the compact tracker housing. The lightweight pouch-cell design helped maximize available space while maintaining the required battery capacity.
